The 6 techniques of Thermo-moulding

Thermopressure

1 - Thermo-impression orthotic formed with the patient standing in a neutral stance

  • Orthotic is created using weight redistribution.
  • Neutral position foam mats.
  • Comfortable orthotic, rheumatoid arthritis, sports orthotics.

2 - Thermo-impression orthotic formed with the patient standing in a corrected stance

  • Orthotic is created using weight redistribution.
  • Imprint of the underfoot taken in corrected stance.
  • Orthotic placed into the imprint and kept in position underfoot.

3 - Thermo-impression orthotic moulded dynamically under the foot in the shoe

  • Orthotic created inside the footwear.
  • Moulded with a sock either weighted or semi-weighted.
  • Orthotic moulded dynamically in the patient's footwear.

4 - Thermo-impression orthotic vacuum formed from the positive mould

  • Orthotic is reproduceable to order from initial positive mould.
  • The positive mould is made from resin based polyurethane.
  • The corrective orthotic is then thermo-moulded.

5 - Thermo-impression orthotic bonded without glue

  • Orthotics fabricated without the use of glue.
  • Bonded simultaneously through heat + pressure + Podiaflux®.
  • Mechanical orthesis for the correction of posture.

Thermo-expansion

6 - Thermo-expansion direct with the patient's foot

  • Orthotics constructed using a variety of specialised materials.
  • The expanding heat mouldable material forms the Orthotic.
  • The thermo-expanding formed orthotics are useful for amputees, people with rheumatoid arthritis or diabetes.
